Ladies...are you holding onto clothes that don't fit? Do you have "pre-pregnancy" pile of clothes that you are waiting to "get back into?" Did you have a rotten winter...or two...due to Pacific NW weather; therefore you "carbed up!" Whatever the reason is that you are no longer the size that you used to be, it's okay, at least for right now at this very moment it is.

We say, "love and accept yourself right now, at this size." When you focus your energy on love and acceptance, it shifts your focus from "I don't like my size, I am fat, ugh, I am not happy with myself" ... to "loving energy!" When you are in the space of love and acceptance you will notice that your spirits will have lifted. You will most likely turn down that "nightly treat" or that extra glass of wine. You will find you are whistling or humming. You will find you have the energy to make it to the gym.

It is proven that positive and loving energy gets more results than negative and loathing energy.

We know you are beautiful, no matter what size you are. Now, it's your choice to be smart and get rid of those clothes that don't fit. LET THEM GO! They aren't serving you. Turns out, we have the perfect event to where you can sell them, make some extra cash and buy something that does fit so you feel beautiful!

When we feel beautiful we walk with confidence. We want more beautiful and confident women walking around. A room full of powerful and confident women can light up an entire state.

Giving, it makes you feel good...

Smartie Pants was actually created through the act of giving. We gave to our girlfriends, then we gave to non-profit organizations. We believe in the greater good. We believe in the sense of community. We know it takes a colony of women to create a ripple in the community. We want to create a "giving ripple." Wanna ripple with us?

The non-profit organizations we are promoting and working with are doing amazing things. When Smartie Pants was an at home clothes swap we gave all the leftover clothes and accessories to Jubilee Women's Center and Eastside Domestic Violence. Both organizations provide safe environments for women to get back on their own two feet--they provide the space for empowerment.

The newest charity we are working with is Rising Out of The Shadows. This organization provides a safe and warm overnight shelter for homeless teens. I worked with them for 10 weeks while getting my bachelors at UW. I met some amazing teens and the experience changed me. I left there knowing that I would continue to work with this organization.

We hope to provide them with 100's of clothing items for as long as needed. We hope people will support these charities by volunteering, giving cash donations if they can and by sharing each of their missions with their friends and family. It doesn't cost a penny to share.

At Smartie Pants we believe change starts with giving. We hope you'll give by supporting our event and our charities.

The Spirit of Kindness

We are sitting here--with huge smiles on our faces--blown away at the frequency of kindness that is vibrating throughout the Puget Sound. We have attracted some of the most amazing women who are going out of their way to promote our Smartie Pants event. The cool piece to this, is that most of these women we haven't even had the opportunity to meet yet.

Women are special. When you get a colony of women together they can move mountains. Most women are innately caregivers and want to do what they can to help their fellow sisters and their communities. This is the true essence of what we are calling "The Spirit of Kindness." We are blessed to be playing with some pretty cool women with huge spirits.

A huge thank you goes out to all the women that are excitedly spreading the word about our event. We appreciate your support and look forward to playing with you the weekend of March 27th! Keep up "The Spirit of Kindness," we love it. :)

Ladies, when the tulips start to bloom it means a change of season is about to happen...Springtime is near! Oh my, isn't it exciting? And why is it exciting? It's exciting because springtime means purge-time.

Oh oh oh my, purging means filling up again on exciting new clothes and accessories.

Be beautiful all over again, fill your closet up with tunic's, lightweight cardigans and sweaters, boyfriend-shirts and boy-cut blazers or THE hot item this spring, floral prints, especially skirts! Ladies, the platform is still going strong, go bold, go blue, go wild!

Smartie Pants, huh?

Smartie Pants, cute name, huh? We wanted the name to capture what we are about; smart and fun. Did we nail it or what?

The credit actually goes to Trinh, my partner in this fun adventure. She called me on her bluetooth after our first event site visit and said, "How about Smartie Pants?" I thought she was calling me a smartie pants...if you know Trinh you would have been just as thrown off as I was.

I thought, "Wow, she is really stepping out of her shy self to call me out!" It took her telling me at least three times that no, not me as the smartie pants, but the name of the business!" LOL

"YES, I said, it is PERFECT!" That was back in September of 2009. We tossed the name out to close friends along with other names and it was definitely the fav.

Ok, so be smart, sign up as a consignee, recycle your unwanted items, make some extra cash and donate to some amazing charities.

You will never wear it!

Did you know that if you haven't worn a clothing item within that past year that the chances of you wearing that item are slim to none? Do you continue to push that "shirt or pair of jeans" to the bottom of the pile because you feel guilty for paying money for it and/or because your aunt bought it for you?

Ok, since you know that the chances of you actually ever putting it on your body are slim to none why not sell it and make back some of the money you spent and/or extra cash (your aunt will never know, we promise!)?

Become a consignee and make up to 70% of the sell price for your items. If you are thinking you just don't have the time to think about pricing or tagging items, no problem. We love pricing and tagging. All you need to do is shoot us an email and let us know you want to go with Package B and we'll arrange a time to pick up your items. Sit back and watch the extra cash come in. Fun, huh?
